This is a very good set of two large hardcovers. Sixth Printing 1978 Praeger Publishing. This set is very good and clean inside and out. The inside pages are still crisp and clean with no markings seen. The bindings are tight and straight. Black hardcover boards with gold lettering are also very good with light shelf wear to corners/edges. There is a very small amount of dust spotting along top page edges but does not carry over to inside. The pages are not tanned and no foxing seen. These are large hardcover, 14" x 10" and will ship SEPARATELY BOXED, arriving in two packages to better ensure safe delivery.
The West Point Atlas of American Wars has been edited by Brigadier General Vincent J. Esposito with an introductory letter from Dwight D. Eisenhower. It was originally published in 1959 and this edition is the updated 1978 edition. The books were compiled by The Department of Military Art and Engineering, U.S. Military Academy, West Point, New York. Volume One is 1689-1900 and Volume Two is 1900-1953. Detailed content page appears at the beginning of each section. Each battle is accompanied by a detailed map giving historical context and geography. Recommended reading list is included in the back of each title.
