This is a near fine (almost like new) set of two hardcovers with accompanying slipcase. 2001 Deluxe Edition Bantam Books. This set is crisp and clean inside and out. The pages inside both are still crisp and clean with no markings seen. The bindings are tight and straight. The dust jacket on both are still clean and shiny with only a hint of shelf wear. The accompanying slipcase is also near fine with only light shelf wear. Super octavo book size or 8.5" x 11" each.

This deluxe set of two volumes contains The Illustrated Brief History of Time (updated and expanded edition) and The Universe in a Nutshell both by Stephen Hawking. Since its publication in 1988, A Brief History of Time has established itself as a landmark volume in scientific writing. This is the updated and expanded edition making the definitive in science writing. The Universe in a Nutshell is the lavishly illustrated sequel to Brief History of Time.
