This is a near fine (almost like new) set of two hardcovers w accompanying slipcase. Limited Edition Imprint Society 1970. This is set # 1445 of 1950 sets privately printed for members. The last page of volume two contains the Limited Edition information and set number. Most often limited edition sets have the set number in front with copyright info. This set features the Limited Edition information on the last page of Volume Two. Through special efforts all the almanacks in the set were photographed from original copies. The paper was specially manufactured for this edition.
This set is near fine (almost like new). The pages are still crisp and clean, no markings seen. The binding is tight and straight on each hardcover. Brown hardcover boards are also near fine with gold title/publisher lettering along spine. Standard octavo book size or 6" x 9" with 359 pages (Vol. 1) and 420 pages (Vol. 2). The accompanying slipcase is very good condition. There is only very light shelf wear and the wrap-around design front and back carries the title information.
This Limited Edition set of The Complete Poor Richard Almanacks 1733-1758 is a complete facsimile of the entire set. Photographed from original copies, it is a collector item privately published.
